About

Liama is an emerging artist based in Kiama, drawing inspiration from the coastline, bush tracks, and everyday moments around her. She works in oil for her portraits and acrylic for her abstract pieces, enjoying the different pace and feel of each medium.

Her portraits focus on real presence and personality, while her abstracts give her space to experiment with colour, texture, and instinct. Her work is shaped by what she sees and feels in her surroundings, resulting in paintings that are direct, expressive, and connected to place.

Liama Aesha is a Kiama‑based artist whose work is shaped by the coastline, colours, and everyday details of the South Coast. She first discovered a love of painting in school, then returned to it in 2019 after many years away. When COVID arrived, painting became a steady creative anchor, and her practice grew quickly from there. Liama now works in both oil and acrylic, creating portraits and abstract pieces that reflect mood, movement, and the places that inspire her. She enjoys the different pace of each medium—oil for depth and softness, acrylic for energy and experimentation. As a co‑founder of Dragonfly’s Art, she creates and exhibits alongside a supportive local arts community, regularly showing new work at local festivals and events. Her paintings are honest, expressive, and closely connected to the landscape she lives in. Liama’s approach is simple: she paints what she notices, what she feels, and what the day offers. Her work invites viewers into that same sense of presence and connection.
