About

My style is expressionistic, figurative and observational. I am inspired by what I choose to paint or draw based on my thoughts, emotions, intuitive and intellectual response, the history of art and the way I view the subject perceived. To explore an idea I often work in series or thematically.

First Class, Ceramics and Painting, Camberwell School of Arts & Crafts, London, UK. 1979: Post-Graduate Art Teachers Certificate, Goldsmiths College, University of London 1996: Doctor of Creative Arts, University of Wollongong 1975 to present: various art related jobs and part-time teaching in tertiatry education 1980 to 2009: Full-time Teacher and Head Teacher Ceramics and Fine Art, TAFE NSW I have been an artist and teacher since 1974
