Join us in acknowledging the Cycles of the Sun as it reaches its fullest arc and the longest day of the year, Summer Solstice. Gathering as we have done since the beginning of time to give thanks and honour the rhythms of light and life expressed through the sacred art of mandala creation.
The Summer Solstice is the high tide of the seasonal year, the ripe pause point between maturity and harvest, and the luminous threshold of fullness, celebration and the Light before the sun begins his journey back to the dark of Winter.
The mandala, as a symbolic representation of the cosmos, has been used across cultures to explore nature’s themes of birth, life and death from the most ancient days. It defies geographical borders, cultures and time and feels like the perfect offering for the times.
Through some structured teachings on the basics of the mandala template, a guided meditation, and space and permission for your free artistic exploration, we will create our own mandalas as offerings to the Solstice heart. Each creation will be a unique expression of gratitude, intention, and harmony—a direct offering of the energy you wish to cultivate as you give thanks for what has been and prepare to step into the second half of the year.
