Singularly iconic pieces, the Articonik suite of works represent years of dedicated creative energy distilled into quirky pop images. Drawing on the theoretical work of Marcel Duchamp, the French Moderns, contemporary graphic design, the paintings and prints of American pop art and the enveloping influence of the internet, Craig's latest images are familiar, fun and faintly disturbing. The 'Articonik' suite of works reference his lifelong obsessions with colour and the principles of art itself, and how they meld with the ever more familiar 'metaverse'.
