About

A contemporary artist more recently known for his 'Articonik' pop-inspired giclee prints. Singularly iconic pieces, the Articonik suite of works represent years of dedicated creative energy distilled into quirky pop images. Drawing on the theoretical work of Marcel Duchamp, the French Moderns, contemporary graphic design, the paintings and prints of American pop art and the enveloping influence of the internet, Craig's latest images are familiar, fun and faintly disturbing. The 'Articonik' suite of works reference his lifelong obsessions with colour and the principles of art itself, and how they meld with the ever more familiar 'metaverse'. Bold and quirky, the images demand attention, drawing focus in any room, evoking amusement and intellectual query. Produced in limited edition giclee prints and as large canvas prints, this latest addition to his output both delights and confounds.
