About

Professor Nadeena Dixon
is a Dharawal Saltwater woman, artist, researcher and cultural programs specialist
working at the intersection of Indigenous cultural practice, contemporary art, and decolonising technology.
Her practice is grounded in Country, kinship, and cultural ecology, and is expressed through weaving, sculpture, installation, and interdisciplinary storytelling. Across community, institutional and public contexts,

Dixon creates works and frameworks that strengthen cultural continuity, protect Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP), and support living knowledge systems—centering women’s cultural authority, place-based narratives, and future-facing creative sovereignty.
